A. Absolutely! We made the change in September 2013 to offer month-to-month plans in all our markets.
A. That is great! It means that you got premium pricing guaranteed for the term of your membership, plus you still have the benefits of membership that came with your plan, such as the freeze option, relocation option, etc. At The Beach is committed to our members, and we will continue to provide the same quality of service and honor the term agreements we sold our customers.
A. This depends on what you bought. If you are on a month-to-month plan, just visit your local store and fill out a cancellation form.
If you are on a term membership, we do let you cancel if you move! Our relocation policy, as stated on the membership agreement and terms and conditions page:
“I understand if I move more than 25 miles from the closest At The Beach Tanning and my account is current, I can cancel for a one-time fee of $75. I also need to mail a copy of my new lease or mortgage agreement showing my new address, and a utility bill with my name and the new address. Please send the documentation and the check or money order by certified mail to the corporate office of:
At The Beach Tanning, 7193 South Dillon Court, Englewood, CO 80112.”
This policy has been approved by the Colorado Attorney General’s office.
At The Beach understands that not everyone can provide a lease or mortgage, and not everyone has a utility bill in his or her name.
*If a customer is unable to provide a lease or mortgage, we will accept a copy of their driver’s license or state-issued ID with the new address on it.
*If a customer is unable to provide a utility bill in their name, we will accept two alternative proofs of address in the form of anything official that is mailed to the customer at the address listed on the lease, mortgage or ID. Common proofs of address include bank or credit card statements (with the appropriate account information blacked out), cell phone bills, insurance statements, etc.
*PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept junk mail or items printed off the Internet.
*One last thing! Please remember to include your check or money order with your cancellation fee in the envelope!
A. This is your lucky day! At The Beach does have a 24-hour cancellation policy (or 72 hours if you purchased a fitness membership in one of our Just Ladies Fitness clubs). If this applies to you, then please send in a written request to cancel. Please include your name and member number with the letter, and a brief explanation of why you want to do the 24-hour cancel. The letter does need to be postmarked within 24 hours of the purchase (weekends and postal holidays excluded). We do ask that you send it certified mail, so you know we got it. Please send that to At The Beach, 7193 South Dillon Court, Englewood CO 80112, Attention: 24-Hour Cancellation Department.
A. This is your lucky day! Because we offer month-to-month memberships, it is easy to go back to the store and fill out a cancellation form. The good news is that we will let you use that month you paid for.
A. Okay Drac, if you do need to cancel your membership and a freeze won’t work, and the 24-hour and relocation cancels do not apply, then we really hate to see you go. The membership agreement and terms and conditions do offer an early cancellation option. Members can cancel at any time by paying a onetime buyout fee equal to 50 percent of their remaining balance or $150; whichever is the greater amount.
